It’s our first big indoor concert in over a year! Originally planned for outside by city hall, we had to make a rain plan when Mother Nature finally decided to bring back rain this weekend. So join us Saturday at 1:00 for Rainy City Riff Raff on the Third Place Commons stage.
Cranking out a beloved repertoire spanning from classic swing to Big Band’s golden age to Latin favorites, Rainy City Riff Raff always packs the house at Third Place Commons and keeps folks in the mood for dancing and singing along.
With an indoor event, a few things do change. #Masks are required, there’s *no dancing* right now, and we do encourage you to maintain social distance. But the music will still be great and that’s what it’s all about!
This concert marks the grand finale in Third Place Commons’ Summer of Music, a summer long series of music-themed programs. Programs included a series of streaming mini-concerts from the Milner Family Fiddles, the Honky Tonk Sweethearts, and Ken Kassover.
If you missed any of those streaming concerts, you can check them out on the Third Place Commons YouTube channel.
The Summer of Music series is supported, in part, by a grant from 4Culture/ King County Lodging Tax.
And while it marks the end of the Summer of Music, this show also serves as a precursor to the return of Weekend Music at Third Place Commons. Beginning in October, look for free, live music to return on most Friday and Saturday nights on the Commons stage (sorry again, no dancing for the time being).
Visit the Third Place Commons online calendar for more on this and other free events. Updates on the Weekend Music schedule will be posted in late September.
