Did you know that you can learn about opera in the Commons? We have been delighted to host Seattle Opera Previews for several years, and welcome local fans on Tuesday evenings before a new production begins.
On Tuesday, January 6th at 7 pm, staff from the Opera’s Education Department will lead a tour of Giacomo Puccini’s world, and give a great introduction to Tosca, which starts on stage at McCaw Hall this coming Saturday. If you are familiar with this well-loved opera, you will get a glimpse of what makes this production different than others you have seen. And if you are new to opera, you will enjoy an engaging invitation to explore more.
The tagline for Tosca is, “She lives for art. She dies for love.” Intriguing, isn’t it?
