Program gem alert!
The Lake Forest Park Garden Club meets in the Commons on the second Tuesday of the month from September through May. Members start with a business meeting, and then invite the community to the second half to hear a presentation from gardening experts. And what an amazing array speakers they have had, from Cass Turnbull, founder of Plant Amnesty, to regional nursery owners, to internationally-recognized experts who specialize in different plants.
On April 14th at 10:30 am, the Garden Club welcomes photographer Charles Needle. In addition to a stunning slide show of his own work, Charles will share tips so that even amateurs can improve their garden photography. This promises to be a real treat, and a good reason to plan your week around Tuesday morning. There is no charge, and you do not need to join the Garden Club, although after this, you may well want to spend more time with these friendly, savvy gardeners.
On May 13th, Jordan Nursery owner Kevin Jordan talks about fuchsia and Martha Washington geraniums. Garden Club members then takes a break to be outside in their gardens during the summer, and return to the Commons in September. Be sure to check our calendar to see who will be speaking next season.
